The Philadelphia Zoo marked the Sesquicentennial of America’s first zoo in 2009. A 150 day countdown to the celebration began in October 2008 with An Evening Among Friends. March 21, 2009 commemorated the signing of the Zoo’s charter with a weekend full of Victorian themed events. The year continued with Zoobilee 2009 and The Solitude 225 Celebration. The first Conservation Prize and Gala capped off the year on March 18, 2010.
I conceived, designed and executed all events. In addition, I produced successful marketing and sponsorship plans that helped to raise over $2-million for the Zoo.
