When CoreNet Global Real Estate Network, a corporate real estate organization, came to Philadelphia for their 2006 summit, I created a four-day, citywide event to increase visibility for the organization. Light Up Philadelphia! illuminated the Philadelphia skyline by choreographing existing architectural lighting with lasers and color-changing searchlights on more than a dozen office buildings and the Benjamin Franklin Bridge. I secured sponsorships of over $50,000 to underwrite the project and executed all legal agreements with buildings. I also managed all facets of the event, including the party at the Philadelphia Art Museum where Light Up Philadelphia! premiered. It was a terribly rainy night, but we proceeded according to plan. The fireworks went off on schedule and the bright lights joined the buildings lit green and blue for the occasion.
